Mann Countrywide and Morris Dibben, two Hampshire estate agents that are part of UK property giant Countrywide, have become some of the first agencies in the country to list their homes on the new Google Maps property search tool.
The move will allow both companies to expand their online operations and reach out to the rising number of home buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants who prefer to use the worldwide web instead of the traditional high street estate agency .
Googles Real Estate Search tool, which went live last month, allows users to search for property for sale or rent in the UK by postcode or location
Users can then view all the listings in that area from Googles estate agency partners. They can also refine their search by price, type of property, and numbers of bedrooms and bathrooms .
Shaun Manzi, managing director of Mann Countrywide, said: "Our success is dependent on ensuring we market our properties to the widest possible audience and this arrangement with Google is fantastic news for our clients."
"We want to ensure we lead the industry and are at the forefront of online developments."
Nick Freeth, managing director of Morris Dibben, commented: "Our aim is always to maximise the exposure to properties we have on offer in order to achieve a quick and satisfactory sale."
