A new networking site has being launched for property professionals and individuals looking to put their home on the market.
The site, Hablib.com, which is short for Habitation Libertum, has been developed by Anton Kreil, ex trader for global investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs.
According to the former trader, the new online platform aims to be "the Facebook of the property world", combining social networking aspects with residential property portals.
Using the site, homeowners and property developers set up their own personal profile, as well as a profile of their home, including photos, number of viewings and offers made.
Users will also be able to communicate with potential buyers and arrange viewings through an online messaging service.
Properties can then be sold without the owner having to pay any kind of commission fee to estate agents or to the site itself.
Mr Kreil, who also appeared as the portfolio manager on the BBC Two programme, Million Dollar Traders, described the online portal as "powerful" and suggested that it could change the way property is sold in Britain.
