Sarah Beeny is an impressive woman She has set up her own property investment and development company at 24. She has gone on to become a highly successful property developer and gone on to host Channel 4's Property Ladder and Streets Ahead.
So would she say it is a good time to buy a property? She would certainly recommend it. However, she would not recommend that it is a good time to enter property investment in order to make a quick profit.
In just a year, property prices have moved from making annual returns of 20%, to making just 3%-5%.
The situation is difficult for investors .
House prices are high and rental yields 3%-4%, property is not an easy way to make money.
Even though she has been very successful, she affirms property development is not the simplest way to make money. Abd no she would not start out now. Property does not provide instant profit.
