Buy to Let Investors Doing Well

Tue, 04 Apr 2006
Buy to let investors are getting great yields and their property values were increasing in February.

So says new data from Paragon Mortgages Buy-to-Let Index and that is not all.

2005 started off slow and activity has picked up since, with the momentum growing in 2006.

January to March, average rents increased 6.39% to £10,590, with the average rental property price rising £9,000 to £163,417.

Paragon emphasises that greater tenant demand is a key factor in increasing rental income .

This is great news for the rental market as well as buy to let investors .

The East Midlands has witnessed the greatest yields, with property values increasing quickest in the south-east.

Rents rose in seven out of ten regions, with the largest increase in the east Midlands as average rental income rose to £9,545 a year.
